About Us

Housing 21 in Bridlington provides care to people living in their own homes across the town and the surrounding part of the East Riding. We support older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people whose sight or hearing has changed.

Our starting point is that somebody's home is their own and we are guests in it. The support we give should make daily life work better without taking it over. For many people that means help at the start and end of the day, with washing, dressing, medication and meals. For others it is help to stay on top of appointments, shopping and the running of a household, or company and a check that all is well.

We plan visits so that people see the same faces. Consistency is what allows trust to build, and it is also how our staff notice the small changes, someone eating less, sleeping badly or growing unsteady, that are worth acting on early.

We talk plainly with families and with health and social care colleagues, and we change a plan when the person tells us it is not working rather than waiting for a review date.
