About Journeying Support Services
Journeying Support provides care and support to people in their own homes in South Croydon and the surrounding area. Much of our work is with adults who have a learning disability or autism. There what helps most is communication suited to the individual, a routine that can be relied upon and support that builds skills and confidence rather than quietly replacing them. We take time to understand how somebody prefers to be approached and what they are trying to tell us, including when that is not said in words, and we give people the space to do things their own way even when stepping in would be faster. Where a person has goals of their own, whether that is cooking unaided, using public transport or getting into work or education, we plan support that draws back as they grow into it. We also support older adults who need help with the everyday things that have become harder, including personal care, medication, meals and getting about safely, and younger adults, whose weeks are usually built around work, study, family or plans of their own. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. Please contact us and ask in detail how we would approach supporting you or your relative.
