About Us
We provide care at home in Newton Aycliffe and the surrounding part of County Durham, supporting older people and younger adults who need a hand to manage in their own houses.
Our work is simple to describe. We send trained carers to people who need help at home, and we arrange that help around the person rather than around our own convenience. For some that is a single call in the morning to help with washing, dressing and getting the day started, along with making sure medication is taken. For others it is more than that, with visits through the day, help with meals and shopping and a hand keeping the house in order. Sometimes what matters most is simply that somebody reliable comes through the door and notices how a person is.
Continuity is the part we work hardest at. A carer who has visited for months sees the small changes that signal somebody is becoming unwell or low in spirits, and the person is spared explaining themselves to a stranger.
Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach a senior colleague whenever they want advice. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are glad to discuss that openly.
