About Us
Almond Flex Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Durham and across County Durham. We work with older people and with younger adults who need help to live independently.
The word flexible gets used loosely in this business, so it is worth saying what we mean by it. People's needs change from week to week, particularly after an illness or a hospital stay, and support should be able to change with them. We would rather increase hours for a difficult period and reduce them again afterwards than lock somebody into a package that no longer fits.
Our visits can include help with getting up and going to bed, washing and dressing, assistance with medication, preparing meals, help around the house, shopping, and getting out to appointments or into town. For families caring for a relative, we can provide the regular cover that makes it possible for them to keep going.
We agree everything with the person before we start, put it in writing and review it as circumstances change. We aim to send the same carers to the same homes, because trust is built on familiarity.
