About Us
Energize Care supports people in their own homes in Halifax and across Calderdale. We are a home care agency, so our care workers come to you, and the arrangement is built around keeping people where they want to be.
We support older people, including many living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults. Those are quite different kinds of support, so we begin with a proper conversation about how someone lives now, what has become difficult, and what they would rather keep doing themselves.
Visits can cover personal care, support with medication, meals and shopping, help keeping a household going, or company and a steady presence for somebody who would otherwise see nobody all day. We keep our teams small and consistent, because a care worker who knows you is the one who notices early when something has changed.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We would rather say that plainly than leave you to find it out. We know the parts of our work that were not good enough, we are addressing them with our team, and we are ready to show you what has changed rather than simply claim it.
If you are looking into care for yourself or a relative, please ring us and ask us the difficult questions.
