About Forestcare

Forestcare provides home care to adults in Bracknell and the surrounding area. We support older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autism, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, and people who have sight or hearing loss. Everything begins with what the person wants their day to look like. From there the support might include help with washing and dressing, medicines, meals, the household and shopping, or it might be about getting out to work, college, appointments and the places somebody likes to go. For younger adults it is frequently about building the practical skills independent living demands, and there we count it a success when we are needed less. We put real effort into continuity. Being helped with personal care by somebody you have never met is a genuinely difficult thing to accept, so we keep the team around each person small and let you know in advance when it has to change. We also write plans in the person's own words rather than as a list of tasks that suits our rota. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather keep earning that than talk about it, so we ask the people we support and their families whether we are still getting the everyday things right.
