About Us
At Swanton Community in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, we provide home care support to people across the local area who want to remain living independently in their own homes. We work with a wide range of individuals, including older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, those with learning disabilities or autism, people with mental health needs, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We also support people dealing with alcohol or drug misuse, recognising that everyone who comes to us deserves thoughtful, non-judgmental care.
What we do is straightforward in principle but meaningful in practice. We come to people in their own homes, on their terms, and we try to make sure the support we offer genuinely fits around how someone actually wants to live. That means listening carefully, being consistent, and building real relationships with the people we support and with their families.
Our team works across Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch, so we have a strong sense of the local communities we are part of. We understand that inviting someone into your home takes trust, and we take that seriously. We try to match people with support workers who are right for them, and we make sure our staff are properly trained to work across the different areas we specialise in, whether that is dementia care, supporting someone with a learning disability, or helping a younger adult to build confidence and independence.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission, and while we are currently working through the ratings process, we are committed to meeting the standards that matter most, the ones that people actually feel day to day.
If you would like to find out more about how we could support you or someone you care about, we would be very happy to have a conversation.
