About Us

Inter County Care in Christchurch provides care and support in people's own homes in the town and the surrounding area. Most people would far rather stay where they are than move, and our work is to make that a safe and dependable arrangement rather than a hopeful one.

We support older adults with the everyday things that have become harder: personal care, medication, meals, keeping the house in order and getting out when they want to. We support people living with dementia, where a familiar face arriving at an expected time does more good than any amount of organised activity. We work with people living with mental health conditions, where consistency and a relationship built steadily over time count for a great deal, and with people who have physical disabilities, helping with washing, dressing and mobility while leaving the person directing how it is done. We support people with a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we announce ourselves, speak and explain, and younger adults, whose care is planned around work, study, family and independence.
