About Us
Here at Altogether Care, we provide home care across Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole, supporting people to live comfortably and independently in their own homes. We know how much it means to stay in familiar surroundings, and our role is to make that possible in a way that feels right for each individual person.
We work with a wide range of people, including older adults, younger adults, and those living with dementia, a learning disability, autism, or a physical disability. We also support people with visual or hearing impairments. Every person we work with has different needs and different preferences, so we take time at the start to understand what matters most to them before we do anything else.
Our most recent CQC inspection rated us as Good, which reflects the effort our team puts in every day. We are proud of that rating, but we are equally proud of the quieter moments that do not appear in any report, knowing someone had company when they needed it, that a meal was made just the way they like it, or that a family member felt reassured after a conversation with one of our carers.
We believe that good care is built on trust and consistency. That means making sure people see familiar faces, that communication is clear and honest, and that we listen properly when someone tells us something is not working for them.
If you are thinking about home care for yourself or for someone you love, we are always happy to have a straightforward conversation about what we offer and whether we might be the right fit. You can reach us at our Christchurch base, and we will do our best to help you find the right support at the right time.

More about the care at Altogether Care - Care At Home Limited Christchurch
What each type of care involves, and the questions worth asking when you call or visit.
Older Person Care
Ageing at home tends to need a little help often rather than a lot occasionally. Altogether Care in Christchurch is registered to provide personal care at home, covering washing, dressing, medicines, meals and companionship. Ask how long each visit lasts and what is included, since the length of a call decides what is realistic. Ask whether the same carers come back, how sickness and leave are covered, and whether bedtime calls can be arranged. South West rates generally fall between £28 and £33 an hour. The council can assess whether a package should be funded or taken as a direct payment.
Dementia
Dementia makes new faces hard work, so the single best question is how many carers would be involved. Altogether Care is registered for dementia care, which describes the scope of its permission rather than its practice. Ask whether visit times are kept consistent and how handovers between carers happen. Ask what carers do when personal care is refused, when meals go uneaten, or when someone has gone out alone. Ask too how the agency raises concerns with the family and the GP as the condition changes.
Learning Disability / Autism
A good package for an autistic adult or a person with a learning disability fits their own rhythm rather than the agency's. Altogether Care is registered for this support. Ask how plans are agreed with the person, how sensory and communication needs are recorded, and how the council reviews the arrangement.
Physical Disability
Equipment in the right place and carers who have been taught to use it are what make personal care safe. Altogether Care is registered to support adults with a physical disability. Ask about training on the hoist or standing aid in use, whether two carers attend transfers, and how adaptations are pursued.
Visual / Hearing Impairment
Someone with failing sight relies on nothing being moved and on being told who has just walked in. Altogether Care is registered to support people with a visual or hearing impairment. Ask how carers announce themselves, whether they can guide somebody outdoors, and how hearing aids and large print paperwork are handled.
Younger Adults
Care for an adult under sixty five should be arranged around their commitments, not the other way round. Altogether Care is registered to work with younger adults. Ask how far visit times can shift, how carers are matched, and what help is offered with work, study and getting out.
