About Us

Tuckam Care provides care at home for people in Broadstone and the surrounding area. We help with as much or as little as somebody needs, from a short call each day to several visits, and we arrange it around the household rather than asking the household to work around us.

Most of our work is with older people. We help with washing and dressing, prompting and support with medication, meals and drinks, laundry, shopping and keeping the home comfortable. We also help people get out of the house, to an appointment, to the shops or simply for some air, and we make time for the conversation that goes with it.

For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers going into the same homes wherever the rota allows, work with the routine the household already has and avoid moving things about. We support adults with mental health needs, where reliability and respect do most of the good, and people with a physical disability who need help to move safely. Where somebody has sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate and always say who we are. We also support younger adults, fitting visits around work, study and family life.
