About Us

We provide care at home in Radstock and the surrounding parts of Somerset. Those we support include older adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, younger adults and people affected by alcohol or drug use.

A range this wide means manner counts as much as skill. Several of the people we support have been judged rather than helped in the past, and a carer who arrives with views about how somebody came to need support is worse than useless to them. We recruit and supervise with that in mind.

Working across a partly rural area means being honest about distance. A round that looks efficient on paper falls apart on a wet morning on country lanes, so we build schedules that survive an ordinary bad day.

Isolation is a real part of what we deal with. For several people we are the only caller that day, so we plan enough time for the conversation rather than treating it as optional.
