About Featherbed Care

Featherbed Care provides care and support in people's own homes across Bristol and the surrounding area. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people with loss of sight or hearing, and people managing mental health conditions. What we do is make home a workable place to stay when daily life has become hard to manage alone. The help covers washing and dressing, medication, preparing meals and seeing they are eaten, shopping, laundry, getting out to appointments, and keeping a household going. Company is part of it too, and for somebody living alone that is frequently the part that matters most. We put a good deal of effort into who we send. Being helped to wash is an intimate business and it goes far better with somebody the household knows, so we keep the same small teams with the same people as far as the rota allows. A regular carer also notices the untouched food or the new unsteadiness long before anybody else would. Plans are agreed with the person, written plainly, and revised when circumstances change. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us if you would like to discuss support at home in Bristol.
