About 95 Bromyard Road
We are 95 Bromyard Road, a small residential care home in Worcester. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with mental health conditions and people managing an eating disorder. Respite stays are available. Being a small house is deliberate. It means the people who live here are not coping with a constant stream of unfamiliar faces, that routines can be genuinely individual rather than dictated by a large rota, and that we usually know without being told when somebody is having a difficult day. A good deal of what we do is about steadiness without rigidity. For many of the people living here, a predictable day, a proper meal, a decent night's sleep, medication that is right and taken, and somebody who notices how you are doing make the difference between coping and struggling. Where food itself is difficult, we work patiently and without pressure, alongside whatever health support somebody already has, and we do not treat mealtimes as a battle to be won. At the same time, this is a home and not a programme. People see their families, keep up their own interests and decide how the day goes, and where somebody wants to work towards more independence we support that. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us if you would like to visit.
