About HF Trust - 1 Foxlydiate Mews

We are a residential care home at Foxlydiate Mews in Redditch, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults. We also offer respite stays. Our size is the thing to understand about us. With only a few people living here, staff know everybody's preferences, moods and history without consulting a file. People choose how their rooms look, have a real say in the shopping and the meals, and are involved in running the household. Where somebody wants work, a course or a club, that is what the support is for. Predictability is something we take particularly seriously. For many of those living here, knowing exactly what is happening and who will be on shift is the difference between a settled day and a difficult one, so we plan ahead and explain changes early. We train staff properly and supervise them, and we would rather a new member of the team worked alongside somebody experienced for longer than felt awkward. When somebody is nearing the end of their life we try to get the small things right: familiar faces, a quiet room, family made welcome at any hour, and no unnecessary fuss. The Care Quality Commission rates us good overall. Come at a mealtime, and watch whether anybody is waiting for help to eat.
