About Bowood Court & Mews
Bowood Court and Mews is a residential care home in Redditch, Worcestershire. We support older people who need help with daily life, including many living with dementia, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment, as well as younger adults. We also offer respite stays. Supporting people with quite different needs works because we plan around each person rather than running the place to one pattern. Everyone here has their own plan, agreed with them and with anyone they want involved, covering not just the help they need but what they want their days to hold. The basics apply to everybody. People choose when to get up, what to eat and how much company they want. Privacy is respected, personal care is given quietly and at the person's own pace, and rooms are furnished with people's own belongings. For residents living with dementia, consistency is what helps, so we keep staffing settled and learn each person's history properly. Where somebody has limited sight or hearing, the way we approach and speak to them takes account of it. Health needs are managed alongside local GPs and community teams, and families hear from us early. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please come and look round.
