About Tova
We are a residential care home in Crowthorne supporting adults with a learning disability or autism. It is a small home, and we run it as a household rather than a service, which means the people who live here have a real say in how the day goes and what happens in it. Support is planned with each person and with the people who know them best. We take particular care over communication, because so much of what goes wrong in this work comes from somebody not being understood, and we make sure everyone on the team knows how a person expresses what they want and what tends to help when they are unsettled. Predictability matters too. We give plenty of notice about changes and we keep to what we have said we will do. People here are supported to get out, to see family and friends, to take part in activities they have chosen and to manage as much of their own life as they are able to. We offer respite stays as well as permanent places. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated the home Good. If you would like to visit, or you are looking for a place for somebody you support, please get in touch.
