About Newhaven
Newhaven is a residential care home in Wallasey, caring for older people who can no longer manage safely on their own, and supporting younger adults who need residential care. We aim for the feel of a household rather than an institution. People keep their own habits, their own belongings and as much independence as they want. Some are up early and busy, others prefer a slow start and a quiet sitting room, and both are perfectly reasonable. Meals matter a great deal here, and so does the ordinary company of the house, so we put real effort into both. Where we support younger adults, we plan the day around their own interests rather than expecting them to fit into a routine designed for somebody else. Respite stays are available too, whether somebody needs care for a short period after illness or a family carer needs a genuine break. We plan short stays as carefully as a permanent move, so nobody arrives feeling temporary. If you are considering a care home in this area, please come and see us, look around and ask us anything you like. That will tell you far more than anything we could write.
