About Meadow Lodge
Meadow Lodge is a residential care home in Chippenham, Wiltshire, supporting adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and people living with a physical disability, including younger adults building a more independent life. Ordinary life is what we are aiming at. That means cooking, shopping, keeping your own room exactly as you like it, getting out to college, work or a club, and having a real say in how the week is arranged. For autistic residents we pay particular attention to the things that make a home manageable: steady routines, proper notice before anything changes, and a quiet place to go when the day has been too much. Where somebody has a physical disability, our job is to remove the obstacle rather than narrow what they do, so equipment, layout and the right kind of help all matter. Support is offered at whatever level suits each person, and we are as interested in what somebody can do for themselves as in what they need help with. Respite stays are available for people needing support for a short period, or for families needing a break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. If you would like to visit or to talk about whether we could suit someone, please get in touch and we will take things at your pace.
