About Us
Hooklands Care Home is a residential home near Chichester, West Sussex, supporting older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autism and people with physical disabilities.
Living together in one house works when difference is expected rather than tolerated. Our residents do not all want the same day. Some want company from breakfast onwards, others appear when they are ready. Some need a great deal of physical help, others need mainly a settled place and staff who know them. Running the house well means holding all of that at once without letting the loudest need crowd out the quietest person.
We plan support with each person and with the family or friends they want involved, and we adjust how we communicate to suit them, whether that means more time, fewer words, written information or simply less noise around them.
Respite stays are available for short periods of care or to give a family carer a planned break.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please do come and see the place.
