About Us

We are Crawford Care Home in Bognor Regis, a residential home supporting adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and people managing a mental health condition.

Our most recent CQC overall rating is outstanding. We are glad of that, although the thing we would rather be measured on is whether the people living here are getting the lives they actually want.

This is a home rather than a placement. People choose how their rooms look, what goes on the shopping list, what they eat and how they spend their days. Where somebody wants to take on more for themselves, whether that means cooking, managing money, using transport or holding down a course or a job, we work at it with them patiently and we do not decide in advance what is beyond anybody.

Communication sits at the centre of the work. We learn how each person tells us what they want, in whatever form that takes, and we make sure the whole staff team understands it rather than one or two people holding that knowledge.

We work closely with families, social workers, community mental health teams and GPs so that support joins up properly.

We offer respite stays as well as permanent places. Please contact us if you would like to come and meet the people who live here.
