About Us
Holcroft Grange Residential Care Home is a care home in Warrington. We provide a home for older people, including people with a physical disability, and we also offer respite stays, whether that is to give a family carer a break or to support somebody through a period of recovery.
What we aim to offer is a settled, familiar place where people keep their own routines and their own things around them. We ask about preferences in detail, because how somebody likes their morning to go is not a small matter when it shapes the rest of their day. Residents decide how much company they want and how much time to themselves, and we try to make both genuinely possible rather than simply offering the choice on paper.
We should be straightforward with you about where we stand. Our most recent overall judgement from the Care Quality Commission was that we require improvement. We accepted the findings rather than arguing with them, we have a plan of work in place and we are progressing it alongside colleagues in health and the local authority. Families deserve to hear that from us directly rather than discovering it later.
If you are considering Holcroft Grange for someone you love, please come and visit. Look at the home properly, speak to our staff and the people living here, and ask us exactly what the concerns were and what we have changed since. Those are the right questions to put to any home, and we will answer them plainly rather than steering you towards a brochure.
