About Highcroft Care Home

Highcroft Care Home is a residential home in Waltham Forest, north east London, caring for older people who need support with everyday life, including those living with dementia. What we offer is practical daily help: assistance to wash and dress, medication managed properly, meals cooked on the premises, support to move about safely and staff available through the night. Around that, residents organise their own time. Some are in the lounge from breakfast onwards and like to know what everybody is doing, others prefer their own room and their own company, and neither needs explaining to us. Dementia care here is built on familiarity. Keeping staff, routines and surroundings consistent takes a good deal of anxiety out of the day, so we plan rotas with that in mind and we ask families to tell us about a person's working life, their music, their habits and the things that will always get a response. Respite stays are available, whether to give a family carer a planned break or to help somebody regain their confidence after a spell in hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Being in London means families can usually get here easily, and we keep visiting flexible. Please ring if you would like to look round.
