About Us

We are Ashbridge Lodge, a residential care home in Waltham Forest. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition or an eating disorder, and people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment.

That is a wide brief, and it reflects a view we hold fairly firmly: people do not stop deserving a decent home because their needs are complicated. We assess carefully and we say so honestly when we are not the right setting, but we do not turn somebody away simply because they have been hard to place elsewhere.

With that mix under one roof, a single routine would suit nobody. People get up when they are ready, eat what appeals to them and spend their days as they choose. What stays constant is that staff know the people here well enough to notice when somebody is struggling with something they would not put into words.

Support plans are written with the person, reviewed when circumstances change, and used daily rather than filed. We work closely with families, social workers, GPs and community mental health teams.

Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please contact us to visit.
