About Us
Here at Living Ambitions, 231 Stafford Road in Wallington, Sutton, we provide residential care for a range of people who need support to live well and feel genuinely at home. We work with older adults, younger adults, and people with learning disabilities or autism, and we also offer respite care for those who need a short break or a planned period of support.
We know that moving into a care home, or arranging respite for someone you love, is a significant decision. We take that seriously. Our team works hard to get to know each person as an individual, understanding their routines, preferences, and what matters most to them day to day. Good care, in our view, is built on honest relationships and consistent support, not just meeting basic needs.
Our home in Wallington is part of a close knit community, and we encourage the people who live here to stay connected with local life in whatever way suits them. Whether that means getting out and about, having family and friends visit, or simply enjoying a familiar and comfortable environment, we do our best to make it possible.
We are proud to hold a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the commitment our team brings to their work and the standards we hold ourselves to. We do not take that rating for granted. We continue to reflect on how we can improve and make sure the people in our care are supported in a way that respects their dignity and independence.
If you are considering care for yourself or someone close to you, we would always encourage you to come and visit us, have a conversation, and see for yourself what life at Living Ambitions is like. We are happy to answer any questions and take things at a pace that feels right for you.

More about the care at Living Ambitions Limited - 231 Stafford Road
What each type of care involves, and the questions worth asking when you call or visit.
Older Person Care
Age brings a slow narrowing of what somebody can manage unaided, and personal care, medication and company are where help usually starts. Living Ambitions, 231 Stafford Road is registered for older person care alongside its other registrations. How much choice residents keep over their own day is the most revealing question to ask. Ask how mornings are organised, whether people choose when to rise, and how personal care is kept private. Ask how many staff are awake overnight and how a call bell is answered at three in the morning. Sutton Council usually pays around £850 to £1000 a week, so ask how any difference from the fee is met.
Learning Disability / Autism
Good support for a learning disability looks like ordinary life with the right scaffolding around it. Learning disability and autism are named in the registration at Living Ambitions, 231 Stafford Road. Councils normally commission these placements and review them annually, sometimes with a care and treatment review. Ask who writes the support plan and how cooking, money and travel skills are practised.
Younger Adults
Younger residents need a week that looks like an adult life rather than a timetable of meals. Younger adults are included in what Living Ambitions, 231 Stafford Road is registered to support. Work, college, friendships and getting out all belong in a reasonable plan at that age. Ask who else of a similar age lives there and what they do with their time.
Respite Care
Planned breaks work better than emergency ones, so it helps to book while things are calm. Respite care is part of the registration at Living Ambitions, 231 Stafford Road. Send familiar clothes, medication in its original packaging and a written note of routines. Ask the minimum stay, what it costs, and whether a short stay can lead to a permanent place.
Residential Care
What a residential home actually provides is daily life with support attached, meaning meals, laundry, help with washing and company through the afternoon. Living Ambitions, 231 Stafford Road in Wallington is registered for residential care, and its own text describes getting to know each person's routines and preferences. No registered nurse is based in a residential home, so clinical needs are met by district nurses and GPs rather than on site. Fees in London commonly run from £1150 to £1500 a week, well above most regions. The Care Quality Commission rated the home good after inspecting in February 2024. Ask what the fee includes and how support is reviewed as needs change.
