About Glendale

Glendale is a residential care home in Walton On Thames, Surrey, supporting older people including those living with dementia. We are a place where people live rather than a place where people are kept, and we try to keep that distinction alive in the way every day runs. Our residents come to us at different points. Some have found managing at home has become exhausting and want the weight of it lifted. Some are living with dementia and need surroundings that stay familiar and a team that stays consistent. In either case, the first weeks matter enormously, so we take time to learn about a person's history, their preferences, their faith if they have one, and the small routines that anchor a day. We keep the home open to families. Visitors are not an interruption, and relatives often know things about a person that no assessment will ever capture. Where somebody is finding it hard to settle, that knowledge is usually the thing that helps. Respite stays are also available. A planned short stay gives a family carer a break with proper support in place, and sometimes it is how someone decides whether residential care suits them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and look around. We would far rather show you than tell you.
