About Ashcroft Care Home
Ashcroft Care Home is a residential home in Redhill, Surrey. We support older people, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people living with mental ill health and younger adults, and we offer both permanent places and respite stays. Supporting that range of people well means being specific rather than general. For an older resident it may mean unhurried help with personal care, safe support with moving about, medication given properly and somebody nearby at night. For an adult with a learning disability or an autistic adult it may mean a predictable routine, clear information given in good time, and help to manage money, appointments and getting out to a job or a course. For somebody living with mental ill health it may mean a settled, low pressure place to live, and close work with the community mental health team. Every plan is written with the individual and reviewed properly. We try to keep the house feeling ordinary rather than institutional. Food is cooked here and people are asked what they would like, there is somewhere sociable to sit and somewhere quiet, and nobody is obliged to join in with anything. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Anyone considering a placement is welcome to visit, meet the people who live here and see how the house actually runs.
