About Park Manor

Park Manor is a care home in Ipswich providing residential care for older people, including residents living with dementia, adults living with mental ill health and people with sight or hearing loss. We support younger adults too, and we offer respite stays. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us outstanding. It was a good day and we try to keep it in proportion. A rating describes how a home was working when somebody came to look at it. It does nothing at all for the resident who needs help at three in the morning next February, and the only way to deserve it is to keep doing the ordinary things properly. Those ordinary things are what we would point to. Help given at a person's own pace rather than the rota's. Food residents genuinely look forward to. A team that stays long enough to know each person's habits, moods and history, so that care is a matter of knowing rather than checking notes. Sensory loss taken seriously, with good lighting, clear speech and the patience to check that a message has landed. Families treated as part of the picture instead of visitors to be managed. Respite stays give carers a real break and let people get to know us without committing. Please come and see us at an ordinary moment and judge for yourself.
