About Us
The Beeches Residential Home is in Bury St Edmunds. We care for older people who need support with daily living, including those living with dementia, and we also support some younger adults whose needs suit a residential setting.
What we provide is help with the everyday: getting washed and dressed, medication managed properly, meals prepared here and served at a civilised pace, and staff available at any hour. Around that, people arrange their days as they wish. Some residents are in the lounge from breakfast onwards and want to know what everybody is up to. Others prefer their own room, the radio and a visitor now and then, and neither needs justifying to us.
For residents living with dementia we keep the day predictable and the faces familiar, and we lean on what families can tell us about a person's history, because that is what allows us to make sense of somebody when words are difficult.
Respite stays are available for anyone needing short term support, including after a spell in hospital.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families across Suffolk are welcome to visit.
