About Us
Rose Court Care Home is a residential home in Southwark, south London. We are a permanent home to older people and to some younger adults, and we also offer respite stays for those needing care for a short period or whose family carer needs a break. Most of our residents need help with personal care, moving about safely, medication and meals, and reassurance that somebody is nearby at night. Many are living with dementia, and that shapes how the whole house works rather than one corner of it: a recognisable daily pattern, the same familiar staff, belongings left where their owners put them, and time and company for somebody who is anxious. We want to be honest with you about where we stand. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather set that out plainly than have you find it somewhere else. We understand what the inspectors raised with us, we are working through it, and we will discuss any part of it with families and professionals who ask. What we are working towards is a house that feels like a home: food cooked here with tastes and religious requirements asked about rather than assumed, somewhere quiet as well as somewhere sociable, and visitors welcome without appointment. Please come and see us and ask us anything.
