About Us
We are Chadwell House Residential Care Home, a residential care home in Romford, within the borough of Redbridge. Our home was created for older people who can no longer manage safely on their own, and our purpose is a simple one: to give each resident a settled place to live where they are known properly as an individual rather than as a set of needs.
Most of the people who come to us are looking for permanent residential care, and we also offer respite stays, which can give a family carer a genuine break or allow someone to try life here before making a longer commitment. We support residents living with dementia, and our team has learned that what helps most is consistency, patience and a calm routine that people can recognise from one day to the next. We also care for residents with physical disabilities and for those with visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we communicate and how we help with moving about so that independence is protected wherever it can be.
Families are welcome here, and we would much rather hear a concern early than have it go unsaid. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, which reflects the standards we expect of ourselves every day and intend to keep building on.
