About The Beeches
The Beeches is a residential care home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. We are a permanent home to older people and to some younger adults, and we also offer respite stays for those needing care for a short period or whose regular carer needs a rest. Most of our residents need help with personal care, moving about safely, medication and meals, and reassurance that somebody is nearby at night. Many are living with dementia, and that shapes how the whole house works rather than one corner of it: a recognisable daily pattern, the same familiar staff, belongings left where their owners put them, and time and company for somebody who is anxious rather than correction. We try to keep the place feeling ordinary. Food is cooked on the premises and people are asked what they would like, there is somewhere sociable to sit and somewhere quiet, the garden gets used when the weather allows, and nobody is obliged to join in with anything. Families visit when it suits them rather than when it suits our rota. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Choosing a care home is a hard thing to do, so please come and visit, more than once if that helps, and ask us the awkward questions. Talking to whoever is on shift will tell you more than anything we can write here.
