About 304 Southwell Road

We are a residential care home on Southwell Road in Mansfield, supporting younger adults, including people who have a learning disability and people who are autistic, alongside older people needing residential care. Support here is built around the individual. Some people need help with personal care and daily routines, some want practical support with cooking, budgeting, appointments and keeping a room as they like it, and some mainly want dependable people nearby while they get on with college, work, volunteering or their own social life. For the autistic people we support, predictability does most of the work. We plan ahead, explain changes before they happen and pay attention to noise, light and how busy the shared areas get. Where somebody becomes distressed, we treat that as information about something that needs changing rather than as behaviour to be managed. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places, which can suit a family needing a planned break or a person wanting to try the house first. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
