About Us
Southfield House in Brigg is a residential care home supporting older people and younger adults, including adults living with mental health conditions. We aim to be a steady, comfortable place where people are treated as individuals and where the support fits the person rather than the other way round.
We ask a lot of questions when someone moves in, and we keep asking afterwards. How you like to be supported, when you want to get up, what you enjoy eating, who should be told about your care, how much company suits you. Those answers go into a plan that staff actually work to, and we revisit it as things change.
We encourage people to keep hold of their own routines and connections, whether that is family and friends, faith, a club, or simply the freedom to go into town and choose how to spend an afternoon. Where someone wants to manage more for themselves, our job is to support that rather than quietly take over.
Relatives are welcome, and with the resident's agreement we keep them informed and involved in decisions.
We also offer respite stays for shorter periods, which families often use to cover a break from caring. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
