About Salcasa

Salcasa is a residential care home in Norwich supporting a mixed group of adults. Some of our residents are older people who need help with the practical parts of the day. Others are adults with a learning disability, autistic adults or people with a physical disability, and many are younger adults who want support to get on with their own lives. That mixture works because we plan for individuals rather than running one routine for the house. One person may want help to wash and dress and then to be left in peace. Another may want staff alongside them cooking, going into the city, getting to an appointment or working through something that has gone wrong. We pay close attention to how each person communicates, what they find difficult and what helps them settle, and we build the plan with them and with the people who know them well. Where somebody needs help to move about safely, the right equipment is in place and our staff are trained for it. Everyday life includes cooking, shopping, keeping your own room as you want it, choosing how to spend the day and getting out locally. Respite stays are available and give family carers a genuine break. If you are considering a place here, please come and spend some time with us before deciding anything.
