About Shulas
Shulas is a residential care home in Cromer, Norfolk, supporting adults with a range of needs, including older people, younger adults, people with a learning disability or who are autistic, and people living with a physical disability. We are not a large place and we do not run to a rigid timetable. People get up when they wake, eat what they like, keep their rooms as they want them and decide how much of the day to spend in company. Our team helps with personal care, medication, appointments and the practical business of living, and we are careful to support without taking over. For autistic residents we pay particular attention to routine, to giving notice before anything changes, and to keeping somewhere quiet available. Respite stays are available for people needing support for a short period, or for families needing a break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Requires Improvement. We would rather put that in front of you now than leave you to discover it. We understood what the inspectors told us, we have been working through it steadily, and we will go through the detail with anyone who asks. Please come and see us and judge the place for yourself.
