About Link House

Link House is a residential care home in Withern, Lincolnshire, supporting adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. Most of the people who live here are younger adults. We are in a village rather than a town, and for a lot of the people we support that quiet suits them well. It means space, fewer demands, and a place where somebody can go outside without a wall of noise and traffic. It also means we have to work at keeping people connected, so getting out to the wider area, to family, to appointments and to whatever somebody is interested in is a regular part of the week rather than an afterthought. Support is agreed with the person and built around them. Some people need help with personal care and health. Others mainly want somebody alongside them to make daily life manageable and to open up the things they want to do. Either way, we expect people to take on more over time rather than settle into being looked after. For autistic residents especially, predictability does most of the work. Routines that hold, clear information, honest notice before anything changes and real choice prevent far more distress than any response afterwards. Respite stays are available. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to come and see Link House.
