About Us
Louth Manor is a residential care home in Louth, Lincolnshire. Those living here include older people, many living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. We support younger adults too, and we offer respite stays.
What actually matters day to day is whether the heating is right, whether the food is worth eating, whether help comes when it is asked for, and whether anybody would notice if somebody stopped coming down for breakfast.
Where a sensory impairment or anything else changes how somebody communicates, we deal with it thoroughly at the start. Half measures here undermine everything.
For residents living with dementia we protect the routine and keep the surroundings familiar, and we ask families for the working life, the places and the names.
Staff here are paid and treated well enough that they stay, which we regard as a condition of good care rather than a separate matter.
The Care Quality Commission has not yet given us an overall rating. We would rather say so openly. Anyone considering us should come without an appointment, talk to residents and relatives, and ask us whatever they want.
