About Us
Beckfield House Residential Home is a care home in Lincoln. We are home to older people who need help with daily life, including many who are living with dementia, and we offer respite stays for people recovering from illness or giving a family carer a break. We will start with the thing you most need to know. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us requires improvement overall. We accepted the findings, worked through them with our team and have focused our efforts on the parts that affect residents directly, which are safe and accurate medication practice, consistent staffing so people are cared for by faces they know, and making sure concerns raised by residents or relatives reach a manager and get a proper answer. Day to day, the home runs around the people who live here. They choose when to get up, what to eat and how to spend their time, and they bring their own furniture and pictures so their room feels like theirs. For residents living with dementia we keep surroundings familiar and consistent and take trouble to understand what sits behind distress. We work with local GPs and community nurses on health needs and keep families properly informed, including when the news is not good. If you are considering a home in Lincoln, come and visit, ask us directly about the inspection and see the place for yourself.
