About Us

Patchett Lodge is a residential care home in Holbeach supporting older people, including those staying with us for respite.

Holbeach is a small place and our home reflects that. People know each other, staff know families, and the pace is unhurried. We think that matters more than any amount of polish. Someone moving into a care home has usually given up a house, a garden and a great deal of independence, and the least we can do is make sure the place they arrive at feels like somewhere people actually live rather than somewhere people are placed.

Day to day, that means choice about when to get up, what to eat and how to spend the hours in between. Some residents want a full diary and some want the paper and a quiet corner, and both are perfectly reasonable ways to spend a day. Staff take time to learn what a person enjoys and what they would rather avoid.

We welcome respite guests, whether a family carer needs a planned rest or someone needs a period of support before going back home.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good.

If you would like to see the home, please arrange a visit. We are happy for people to come back more than once, and to bring the relative who would be moving in, before any decision is made.
