About Broadoak Lodge

Broadoak Lodge is a residential care home in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. We support older people who need help with daily life, including many living with dementia, and adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. We also offer respite stays. Supporting people with different needs under one roof works only if you plan around each person, so that is what we do. Everyone here has their own plan, agreed with them and with anyone they want involved, covering not just the help they need but what they want their days to hold. The basics apply to everybody. People choose when to get up, what to eat and how much company they want. Privacy is respected, personal care is given quietly and at the person's own pace, and rooms are furnished with people's own belongings. For residents living with dementia, consistency is what helps, so we keep staffing settled and learn each person's history properly. Where somebody does not use speech, we learn how they do communicate and make sure everyone supporting them knows. Health needs are managed alongside local GPs and community teams, and families hear from us early when anything changes. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please come and visit us in Melton Mowbray.
