About Us
Orchard House is a residential care home in Market Bosworth, supporting older people who need help with daily living rather than nursing care. We offer permanent places and respite stays, and we support residents living with dementia and residents with a physical disability.
Being in a small Leicestershire town is part of what we offer. Family, old friends and neighbours are close at hand, and we would much rather they came and went freely than visited by appointment. Moving into a care home should not mean leaving your own community behind at the same time.
Our focus is daily life rather than treatment. Residents keep their own routines, their own belongings and their own preferences, and are supported to carry on doing what they can for themselves. The help is there to make ordinary life possible, not to take it over.
For residents with dementia we rely on familiarity, a steady rhythm to the day, and the patience to work out what somebody is trying to tell us rather than reacting to how it comes out.
Respite stays give family carers a proper break and are planned as carefully as any permanent move.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good.
If you are thinking about a place for yourself or a relative, please come and see us and make up your own mind.
