About Us
Lyndhurst Lodge Residential Home is at Ashby de la Zouch. We care for older people who need support with everyday life.
What we provide is help with the ordinary business of the day, given without fuss: assistance to wash and dress, medication managed properly and on time, meals cooked on the premises, support to get about safely and staff available through the night. Doing that reliably, and in a way that never makes somebody feel like a task on a list, is most of what good residential care amounts to.
We try to keep the house feeling domestic. There is a cooked breakfast, there are papers and puzzles and television, there are trips out when the weather allows and there are quiet corners for people who would rather not be in the thick of things. It is a small enough place that staff know everybody properly, which is what makes the difference in practice.
Respite stays are available as well as permanent places, whether to give a family carer a planned break or to help somebody regain confidence after illness.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families across Leicestershire are welcome to visit. Please ring and we will arrange a time.
