About Us
We are a residential care home in Rossendale, providing a home for older people who need support to get comfortably through the day. We try to keep the feel of a household rather than a facility, with people bringing their own belongings and keeping to their own rhythms where they can.
We help with personal care, mobility, meals and medication, and we care for people living with dementia, where familiar staff and unhurried time do more good than anything more elaborate. Respite stays are available too, whether to give a family carer a genuine break or to let someone try the home for a short period before any longer decision.
We would rather be plain about inspection than quiet about it. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. That is not where we want to be and we are not going to present it otherwise. Particular things were found wanting, work is under way on them, and the fair test is whether you can see and feel the difference when you visit.
So please do visit. Walk round, talk to the people who live and work here, and ask us directly what was found and what has changed since. That is the only reliable way to judge somewhere for someone you care about.
