About St Anne's Community Services - 2
We are a residential care home in Dewsbury supporting adults living with mental health conditions. We offer permanent places and respite stays. A great deal of what helps in this work is structural rather than clinical. Somewhere stable to live with a door that shuts. Meals at reliable times. A week with enough shape to give a reason to get up. People around who notice a change in mood without turning it into a crisis. A team that treats a difficult stretch as something to get through together rather than as evidence that a placement has failed. We work alongside community mental health teams and, where people want it, with families, so that everybody holds the same picture rather than separate pieces of it. The people who live here make their own decisions about how they spend their time, what their rooms look like and who is part of their lives. Our part is to make those decisions possible and to stay steady when things are hard. Respite stays are available too, which can give a family carer a genuine break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to visit and see how the home works.
