About Us

Here at Birkdale Court, we offer residential care for a range of people in the heart of Hull. Our team supports older adults, younger adults living with physical disabilities, and people with dementia, and we work hard to make sure every person who comes through our doors feels genuinely at home.

We understand that choosing a care home is one of the biggest decisions a family can make, and we do not take that lightly. Whether someone moves in with us on a permanent basis or joins us for a short respite stay, we take time to get to know each person properly. Their routines, their preferences, what makes them laugh, and what matters most to them in daily life all shape the way we provide support.

Dementia care is something we approach with a great deal of thought and care. We know that living with dementia affects not just the individual but the whole family, and we aim to provide consistency, familiarity and reassurance for everyone involved. Our staff receive ongoing training so that they can respond sensitively and confidently to the varying needs that come with this condition.

For those living with a physical disability, including younger adults who may not have expected to need residential care at this stage of life, we work to create an environment that promotes as much independence as possible. We believe that having support around you should open doors, not close them.

Respite care is also available for those who need a temporary stay, giving family carers a chance to rest while their loved one receives attentive, reliable support.

We are proud to be part of the Hull community and remain committed to providing care that is honest, respectful and genuinely centred on the people who live here.
