About Us
Ash Lodge Care Home is a residential care home in Hull, supporting older people and younger adults, including adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults and people managing mental ill health. We offer permanent places and planned respite stays.
Supporting a mixed household takes thought, and we believe it makes for a better home. Residents are here because of what they need rather than because they fit a category, and everyone gets the same foundation: a room that is properly theirs, food worth sitting down for, help offered without fuss and staff who take the trouble to know them.
For residents with learning disabilities and autistic residents, we pay close attention to predictability, communication and sensory needs. Where someone signs, uses symbols or an app, or communicates through behaviour we have learned to read, the work of understanding belongs to us. For those managing mental ill health, structure and continuity do a great deal of the work, along with staff who can tell an ordinary bad day from a genuine deterioration.
For our younger residents, we make sure that living in a care home does not mean giving up plans, friendships or a say in the ordinary decisions of the day.
The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection.
Please come and visit on an ordinary day and meet the people who live here.
