About Care Centre
Ramsgate Care Centre is a residential care home in Ramsgate, Kent. We support older adults and younger adults, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. Our starting point is that this is where people live, so it should run to suit them rather than the other way about. Everyone here has their own room and their own belongings, gets up and turns in at the hours that suit them, has a real say in the food, and chooses how much of the day to spend in company. Help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and appointments is offered without fuss, and stops where it is no longer wanted. What we are really trying to protect is somebody's sense of still running their own life. In practice that means asking rather than assuming, explaining rather than announcing, and being straight with families about how a person is doing, including on the weeks when the answer is not what anybody hoped. Being on the Kent coast is part of it. People get out, keep up with those they have always known, and hold on to the interests they arrive with. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. You are welcome to visit, meet people here, and ask us whatever you want to ask.
