About The Laurels

We are a residential home in Ashford supporting adults who need somewhere settled to live, including people living with mental health conditions. What we try to offer is stability. Familiar staff, a predictable shape to the week, meals at reliable times and a house where somebody can be left in peace when peace is what they need. People living here have their own rooms and their own belongings and a genuine say in how the place runs. For adults who have spent time in settings where very little was within their control, that counts for more than any facility we could list. Support is arranged around the individual. For some people it centres on staying well: managing medication, keeping appointments, noticing early when things are becoming difficult and having staff nearby who know the person well enough to see it coming. For others it is about doing more, whether that means work, study, volunteering, managing money with a hand from us, or getting out regularly and keeping up with family and friends. We keep our team as settled as we can, because trust takes a long time to build and is easily undone. Respite stays are available as well as longer places. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are looking for a place, please come and visit and ask us whatever you need to.
