About Ashlea House
We at Ashlea House are proud to offer a warm and welcoming residential care home in Ashford, Kent, where adults living with learning disabilities and autism can truly feel at home. Our community is built around respect, individuality, and the belief that every resident deserves a life filled with purpose and possibility. Nestled within the TN postcode area of Ashford, our home enjoys the benefits of a setting that blends the calm of Kent's countryside with easy access to the amenities of a thriving market town. The local surroundings provide a peaceful backdrop for daily life, whilst also offering opportunities for residents to engage with the wider community when they wish to do so. We have created an environment that feels less like an institution and more like a genuine home, where familiar faces, comfortable spaces, and gentle routines help residents feel settled and secure. Our specialism in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, including younger adults, shapes everything we do. We understand that no two people are alike, and we take the time to learn what matters most to each individual. For some, this means encouragement to build independence in everyday tasks such as cooking, personal care, or managing money. For others, it means structured routines, sensory considerations, and patient communication that reduce anxiety and support wellbeing. Whatever the need, our approach is centred on the person rather than the diagnosis, and we work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and advocates to ensure each resident's voice is heard and respected. Families often tell us that finding the right home for a loved one with complex needs can feel overwhelming. We aim to ease that journey by being open, honest, and consistent in our communication. Relatives are welcomed as partners in care, and we encourage regular involvement, whether through visits, shared activities, or simply staying in touch about the small moments that matter. We believe that strong relationships between residents, families, and our team are at the heart of truly meaningful support. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated Ashlea House as Good across every domain assessed, including Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. This consistent recognition reflects the dedication of our team and the standards we hold ourselves to each day. For families, a Good rating across all areas offers reassurance that the care delivered here meets the expectations set by the national regulator, and that our practices around safety, leadership, and compassion have been independently verified. If you are exploring residential care options in Ashford for a loved one with a learning disability or autism, we warmly invite you to get in touch. Choosing a new home is a significant decision, and we are here to answer your questions, share more about our community, and help you feel confident about the next step.
