About Us

We at Eden House are proud to offer a warm and welcoming residential care home in the peaceful coastal village of Totland Bay, on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Our home provides thoughtful residential care for older people, adults living with dementia, younger adults, and those with physical disabilities, in a setting that feels calm, familiar, and truly homely.

Nestled within the tranquil surroundings of Totland Bay, our home benefits from the gentle pace of life that this part of the Isle of Wight is so well known for. The sea air, quiet streets, and community spirit of the area create an environment where residents can feel settled and at ease. Inside, we have created spaces that balance comfort with practicality, offering communal areas for socialising, quieter corners for reflection, and private rooms where residents can enjoy their own personal space.

Our specialisms allow us to support a broad range of needs under one roof. For older people seeking long term residential care, we provide daily support with warmth and dignity, encouraging independence wherever possible whilst ensuring help is always close at hand. For those living with dementia, our approach is centred on patience, familiarity, and understanding, helping residents feel safe and valued as individuals. We also welcome younger adults and people with physical disabilities, tailoring our support to each person's abilities, preferences, and goals.

Respite care is an important part of what we offer, giving family carers the opportunity to take a well earned break, safe in the knowledge that their loved one is being cared for in a supportive and friendly environment. Whether a stay is planned for a short recovery period, a holiday, or simply to try our home before making a longer term decision, we aim to make every guest feel genuinely at home from the moment they arrive.

Our overall rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission, awarded across all five key areas of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led, reflects the standards we work hard to uphold every day. Families can take reassurance from knowing that our care has been independently reviewed and recognised as meeting the expectations of this important regulator across every domain that matters most.

Choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we understand the weight that comes with it. If you are exploring options for a loved one in the Totland Bay area or further afield on the Isle of Wight, we warmly invite you to get in touch with us. We would be delighted to answer your questions, share more about daily life at our home, and arrange a visit so you can see for yourself the caring community we have built.
